Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

I’m 74 years old. I was a nurse for 45 years, retired in 2018. I’ve been a member of drfuhrman.com since 2007. I purchased a vitamix through the website which gratefully is still going strong.
I haven’t always stayed on the nutritarian plan. Unfortunately, my weight would fluctuate 10 pounds. But the main impetus to go back on the diet .occurred when my doctor wanted to increase my Cardizem dose (heart medication) from 180mg to 240. I said wait, give me a month. Luckily, I had just read about the November weight loss challenge. I decided now or never. I really put my heart and soul into the program. I’ve so far lost 36 pounds. My blood pressure dropped significantly from 130’s/80’s to 100’s- 110’s/ 60’s - 70’s. I feel so much better, my knees don’t ache anymore going down the stairs in the morning. I’ve always been a walker but now I have more energy with less discomfort than I used to have. The best thing is I haven’t had an asthma exacerbation since I started the diet which for me is amazing. No prednisone, no albuterol nebulizer treatments which have triggered atrial fibrillation at times in the past which was so scary.
I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
