Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Karin lost 17 pounds, is free of headaches and most of her medications
I was semi vegetarian prior to April 2013, with a C-Reactive Protein (CRP) test result of 3. The CRP tests for heart disease risk. According to my cardiologist my other test results were within normal limits. I had a mitral valve replacement in 2006, had psoriasis, and suffered with headaches that required four different medications. I wanted to get off all those meds and lose some weight. I am 5'2" and had once weighed 104 pounds and felt great at that time, but then my weight crept up. I have a history of stroke and heart attack on both sides of family with an uncle and both parents dying of Alzheimer's. I was tested and was found to have food sensitivities to dairy, mushrooms, yeast, alcohol, and vinegar. I eliminated those from my diet and all meat using Dr. Fuhrman's books as my guide. The weight just fell off, and I haven't been one bit hungry. My last CRP in Nov. 2013 was .39. It blew me away.
Thank you Dr. Fuhrman for your books, videos, webinars, appearances on Dr. Oz, and many other places. I am so happy, feel great and will never go back to my former way of eating and living. Oh, by the way I'm off almost all my meds and don't have headaches anymore.
