I guess there's no help for this really, but just in case...our son doesn't want to hear anything more about Dr. Fuhrman, even though he knows I feel the doctor's plan has saved my life (which was not in imminent danger but I was definitely not as healthy as now and was on the track to illness). And his father eats the way I do too. Yet our son has gained some 4+0 lbs from what I can tell. He's out of the house and has a good job, flies a lot and styas in hotels, and has had some ups and downs emotionally since college. He's just been happily married and he does exercise but he eats pretty badly. We worry about his probably already starting to have heart disease etc. I sent Eat for Health to him two years ago but I don't think he ever read it. I guess he has to make up his own mind but his friends mostly don't eat well (only one or two do) and they all drink a fair amount. It's so hard to stand by and watch this happen. So I'm glad the latest book is coming out and I hope there's more and more publicity on Dr. Furhman and nutritarian plan. But anyfurther ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Sus, It sounds like your son needs some motivation to change. If he does not want to change his lifestyle, there is not much you can do except lead by example. Let him see what good health looks like. Make him only healthy foods when he visits. Show him how much you appreciate  your healthy lifestyle. Hopefully, he will be happy to see how happy and healthy you are, he will be fed up with being overweight! Good luck!
