In May 2021, hundreds of people embarked on Dr. Fuhrman’s 21-day Weight Loss Detox. Some were long-time Nutritarians looking to strengthen their commitment to this healthy and longevity-enhancing lifestyle. Others were new to this eating style: unsure of how they would adjust, but committed to losing weight and improving their health. In just 21 days, detoxers dropped excess pounds, experienced renewed vitality and deepened their knowledge of nutritional science. Hundreds of pounds were lost during the detox.
And when it was over, we challenged participants to keep up the good work. It was time for Dr. Fuhrman’s 7-month Weight Loss Challenge: To lose weight and drop 5 BMI points (or more) while following the Nutritarian diet.
The challengers committed to following the Nutritarian eating style for the duration of the contest. Each month, they “checked-in” by recording their weight (using a photo of themselves on a scale), and a quick survey. They received extended access to the online classroom and monthly support with Platinum membership so they could take advantage of all of the support features available at DrFuhrman.com
As the months passed, the Challengers stayed focused on their goals – through vacations, parties, work stress, back-to-school, changing seasons and (especially) the holidays. They learned, and stayed connected, and experienced amazing results. By the final weight-in, on January 5, 2022, a total of 19 Challengers had achieved the statistic of losing 5 BMI points (or more), and finishing in the winner’s circle.
