Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Nancy loves being size 6 now that she lost 20 pounds
I was looking for a lifestyle diet that was sustainable over the long term. I had already tried the balanced diet, the Atkins diet, and the bodybuilders diet, and they either didn't work or had side effects. I read Eat To Liveand The China Study and decided to try Dr. Fuhrman's recommendations.
The weight fell off immediately and effortlessly. At first, I experienced hunger and adjusted my food intake (ate more), and learned to eat more frequently. In the beginning, I had harsh crashes, when, at times, I did not eat enough, and I became ravenously hungry. Those crashes were hard, and I fell off the wagon a few times and ended up at Burger King. Eventually, the crashes stopped, and now even if I get hungry, it does not create severe cravings like it did in the beginning. I also had trouble at first with all the cooking I had to do. But I soon learned how to shop.
This is the best diet I have ever tried; my skin and nails look great, and I feel good. There are no side effects to this plan, the food is good, and the lifestyle is sustainable. My roommate also lost 20 pounds. I inherited all of her old clothes. I now am a size 6 (like she used to be) and now she is a size 2.
