Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
After a few months on the nutritarian diet Ed no longer had gout; later his bladder cancer was gone
I was having some foot pain. I showed my foot to my wife who told me I had gout and that the nutritarian diet would get rid of it probably within 3 months. She had been a nutritarian for two years. I began eating that way and 2 1/2 months later the gout was gone and so was 30 pounds! I felt a lot better, really great. I really enjoyed the food as well as the results so I decided to stay nutritarian. The weight continued to come off effortlessly. The blood pressure medication, valsartan, was making me dizzy, so the dose was cut in half, and then eliminated completely. I am 6' 1" tall have gone from 275 pounds to 193 pounds.
Also, In December, 2017, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer, a side effect of the valsartan. On May 29, 2019, my cancer check showed no signs of cancer. I feel great and have lots of energy now.
