Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Linda is a breast cancer survivor; follows the Nutritarian diet, has more energy than ever and knows she will be "eat to live" for many more years

My success story is just starting.  In 2015, unfortunately I opened the cancer door.  I had never been sick and had no symptoms or family history of cancer. But, my mammogram (which I did every year since I worked for a CBS television station for 15 years and did a promotion all about the success of mammograms to detect breast cancer). I never dreamed it would be my turn, but it was.

After the shock of the diagnosis, no lump but Stage 1 Her2 cancer, it was recommended that I do nine months of chemo.  I lived through the nine months, survived many side effects with the help of my sister who is a physician assistant and a nephew who was a Ranger on secret commands in Afghanistan at the time and eating a plant- based diet for strength training. They made me eat some green slim smoothies at the time, but it worked.  Somehow, I survived, my hair and eyelashes did not. I then went through surgery and am now totally cancer free.

My journey to find better options for recovery led me to Dr Fuhrman's books and philosophy. I started taking cooking class from a cook who talks about the Nutritarian diet rather than the vegan diet.  She referred me to Dr Fuhrman’s books which I have.  I also ordered the Ultra Cell Biotect vitamins and the Gentle Care Formula multivitamin.  I love the recipes in Dr Fuhrman’s book and would love to have the time to attend one of his retreats.  I quit my high stress job and now work for a community theatre which is more fun than work.  I work out like Ruth Bader Ginsburg the supreme court judge and follow Dr Fuhrman's diet and philosophy. This whole journey has opened up a whole new perspective on how many sick people there are in this world, how our food pyramid is totally upside down and how the health centers are really keeping everyone on the hook to stay sick, not get healthy and stay healthy.

So far, I have lost a few pounds and have much more energy than I did even before I opened the Cancer door.  I look forward to "eating to live" for a long time!
