Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
For the first time in her life Sandra is free of craving sweets and lost 19 pounds
I have been overweight most of my adult life and tried every diet possible short of surgery. In 2008 I was treated for throat cancer. During radiation and chemo I lost 50 pounds and kept the weight off for about two years. Then, I suddenly started gaining again. By January 2013 I had gained most back. Due to radiation my sweet taste buds are gone. I can only taste savory. You would think I would not have a sweet problem. Well just because you can't taste something does not mean you do not crave it. I was eating things I could not even taste. The first week on Eat To Live was rough. By the second week my blood sugar was below 100.
I lost 19 pounds and the most wonderful thing happened. I am free of cravings. I can control what goes into my mouth for the first time in my adult life. I don't get up thinking about what I can eat or not eat. I don't know what is happening to my body, but it feels wonderful. My friends say they can't do without meat, salt and sugar. I say nothing tastes as good as the way I feel.
