1/3 cup vanilla soy, hemp or almond milk
2 frozen bananas (see note)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 teaspoon alcohol free vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds


Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Note: Freeze ripe bananas at least 8 hours in advance. Peel bananas and seal in a plastic bag before freezing.

This is a great breakfast drink. Everyone in the family loves this, even the little kids! We often make it without the flax seeds or the vanilla and it is great! Just blend up frozen banana with a few strawberries and milk.

Great recipe. It is sooooo yummy. I've found it easier sometimes to just use some chopped ice instead of frozen fruit and its still "freezey" :) Cinnamon is also a great addition, and with strawberries or banana alone.
