Excellent advice! Could you please offer guidance to those who are immunocompromised? I don't know if increasing micronutrients in my diet would have the same effect for me in boosting my immune system as with those who have normal functioning immune systems.

The studies on NAD+ boosting supplements (nicotinamide riboside) so far have not provided any evidence that supplementing has any additional health benefits beyond getting adequate niacin in the diet, following a healthful diet overall, and exercising.  Also there is a possibility that excess from supplements could be problematic. Currently, Dr. Fuhrman does not recommend NAD+ boosting supplements.

Would you PLEASE call Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx and ask them to educate Americans about optimal health and reversing chronic disease? In Italy, 75% of the folks who died from coronavirus had high blood pressure, 35% had diabetes, and 30% had heart disease. The last time I checked, heart diease, type 2 diabetes and HBP were proven to be reversible lifestyle modification. It appears that a lot of Americans are going to die not knowing this or how to strengthen their immune system while the rest of us are stuck in our houses for months and the country goes bankrupt.

I am a wellness consultant and a huge advocate of optimal health for both humans and the planet through a plant-based diet, and I agree we should all be promoting this way of life. However there are even some very healthy, even very young people who are having serious reactions to this disease - especially in the US for some unknown reason. Let's encourage everyone to get healthier, definitely, but that is no guarantee you will be safe, and it looks like this disease is going to require measures beyond what we have had to do for decades to protect ourselves. I think the unfortunate but realistic strategy right now is for as many of us to stay at home as much as possible until the epidemic dies out or until a vaccine is developed. Hopefully one of the good things that will come from this is greater awareness of the importance of health and a plant-based diet!

The video relies on the accompanying text to explain the nature of "this program" and to direct people to the "fives way to protect yourself". By itself, the video borders will be seen as irresponsible. The point to be made most forcefully now is not whether nutritarians do have anything to fear.  Our malnourished fellow humans do. The infographic does an excellent job of promoting protective measures, but relies on the common sense of the reader to infer the requirement for social distancing.  Good luck breathing out in a crowd.

I watched you on a Public Broadcast channel and was quite curious after listening to you. I just finished reading Eat for Life and as with your book, The End of Heart Disease, I have learned so much. After an illness a few months ago, I began really paying attention to what I eat. Your books have been a lifesaver, literally. I also have your recipe book. I'm excited for once to go to the dr and get my bloodwork in the next few weeks. I was always a sugar addict, but I actually no longer crave sweets. I love veggies now! Thank you for caring. I've lost 39 lbs. to date and can't wait to get to my idea weight over the next few months.
