This is to die for !!! I had tried the Chocolate Smoothie first and loved it so when I saw the Chocolate Cherry, I just had to try it too. So rich and chocolatey!!! This is probably my favorite smoothie right now. It will definitely take care of your chocolate cravings.

This is really great, and you can't taste the spinach. I swear! I couldn't find cherry pomegranite juice so I substituted 1/4 cup cherry juice + 1/4 cup pomegranite juice, which I discovered is a really delicious combo.

Absolutely fantastic smoothie/blended salad! You could pass this as desert. In fact, I had to stash it in the freezer while I ate my veggies. It works well with all the ingredients cut in half except the spinach. I may even add a couple more ounces of spinach. I don't think anyone would ever know this is a blended salad, including me, which is the most important!

I heartily agree! I'm trying to get my college age daughter to try more greens. This is absolutely a great way to go. She still could taste the greens, but I think with some coaxing she will try some more and maybe even drink a lot of it some day! Dr. Fuhrman says it takes 9 times to develop a taste for something!

We started the 6-week plan today. We chose this smoothie to get off on the right foot. We loved it. We used frozen bananas and spinach so needed to add about a cup of water to blend it (no VitaMix). We used mangosteen instead of pomegranate juice and flax oil instead of seeds. YEAH! Thanks so much for sharing this. I'd give this a 5 star but for some reason I haven't figured out how to click a star to make that happen yet.

Oil is totally prohibited. Better to use any type of seed or nut. You only need a small amount to help the uptake of the veg.

I LOVE this smoothie. This was my first foray into putting greens in a smoothie. I'm sold! I made it exactly as the recipe said and I cannot taste the spinach. Next I'm going to try baby greens with arugula. This was great! And I don't have a Vitamix yet.

Can you taste the banana in this? My son hates bananas. Has anyone tried making this without the banana?

Oh my goodness! This is nutritional nectar for dark chocolate lovers!! I did double the cocoa but it would still be great with the amount specified.

Also, in case anyone is still wondering: My husband doesn't care for bananas and he said he wouldn't have known there was one in there had I not told him.

I give it a 5 star yum!

Excellent! I agree with all the other great comments! My husband did not want to even try it, and he ended up drinking the whole thing after one sip. He is not full ETL, but overall, he is probably about 50% ETL. We will definitely be having this frequently--especially on hot summer evenings!

I came across this recipe last night and I had to try it. Went to Whole Foods and got all my ingredients and this morning I made it for my husband. He gave me a high five and said it was delicious but seeing he has sweet tooth he said it could be a little sweeter so next time I will add some date sugar or dates. I just tasted it a little as I am on a fast, but I will definately make it next week again so I can really taste it.

This recipe is incredible. I have a regular blender so I also add red kidney beans to this recipe to help the blending process, which I discovered gives it a wonderfully smooth texture and makes this recipe perfect for the morning as it has fruits, veggies, nuts, and beans - everything you want to start your day off right :)

This is awesome. I sometimes even triple the cocoa... why not? Extremely low calorie/low fat and tons of antioxidants. I use Dr. Fuhrman's cocoa most of the time but mix in TJ's as well because it's cheaper... probably not as good for me though. This really gets you through some of the rough days. I also substitue any green for the spinach... eg. Kale, Arugula etc if I happen to be out of spinach. Kale gives it a nice fresh taste. This is my all time favorite.

Best smoothie EVER and my 2 year old goes crazy when she knows we are making it. If I really have a sweet tooth, I add 1-2 dates just like the other reviewers. I also freeze the banana the night before because it seems like you are having an ice cream shake. Since cherry and pomegranate juices are not regular pantry staples, I simply double the almond milk. FYI - CostCo has a big bag of organic cherries for about $10.

Not only is this delicious and healthy, but it is a great one to make for guests who think you live on boiled water and wilted lettuce! If I don't have cherry pomegranate juice, I throw in pomegranate fruit and use blueberry pomegranate juice. I sometimes add a handful of raw macadamia nuts and three finely chopped medjool dates.

This smoothie has become one of my go-to meals; I usually have it at least once a day for either breakfast or lunch. I do find that I like a little thinner drink so I usually us a full cup of almond milk. I also usually use a full 4 oz. of spinach and omit the lettuce. Whichever way you prefer it, it's hard to imagine not enjoying this.

Excellent soup. I made two batches in two weeks as it goes very fast around my house. Although it takes time to make it, the effort is worth the result. One question: Does anyone know what is the serving size for this soup. According to the recipe one serving has 360 calories. I hope one serving does not equal one cup.

This smoothie is just what you need on those ugh mornings when you feel like you need something sweeter to get you going. Not looking forward to work? Drink this smoothie and it will help you on your way.

Just tried this for breakfast. I had Elderberry juice opened and used that.  (We had just been very run down/sick and use this for extra immunity boost) Used frozen banana which are good to store for recipes.  Macadamia nut milk from Costco that I keep on hand. My son is running track, so this was a good start to the day post meet.  16 yr old loved it.

Next time I shop I will but the ingredients on recipe but this seems open to a lot of substitutions and still delicious
