Ingredients

3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 1/2 cups cooked black beans or 1 (15 ounce) can low sodium or no-salt-added black beans, drained
1 small onion or 3 shallots, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup Dr. Fuhrman's Supreme Greens G-BOMBS Soup
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grind oats and sesame seeds in a food processor until the consistency of a coarse powder.

Place beans in a bowl and mash with a fork. Mix in the oat mixture and remaining ingredients.

Form into 7 medium-size patties. Additional whole oats may be added if mixture seems too moist.

Place burgers on a parchment-lined or lightly-oiled baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, turning after 20 minutes.

This is a brilliant recipe, the (most delicious) Supreme Greens soup keeps the patties together superbly. Think next time I'll try adding some of Doc Fuhrman's ketchup into the mix as well. Think this may be the best vegan burger I have ever had, not to mention very easy to make.

Quick, easy, and surprisingly delicious because I'm not a huge fan of the Supreme Greens on their own. I think I'll try it out with the other soups too, and just modify the spices to enhance their flavors. Finally! A good use for my G-BOMBS Soups, just in time before they expire! Very happy I found this! :)

This was easy to make and delicious!  One of the best veggie burgers I have ever made (or had in a restaurant).  Those I've made, while tasty, tend to fall apart easily.  I added about 1/8 cup of bread crumbs to make the mixture stiffer.  This is a good use for the "supreme greens" soup, which is not my favorite.

Third time at posting. This was good. All six liked it where none like the soup. I made a cassarole instead of patties since it was so moist. We used as a spead on bread or in our salad. I will make double next time. I gave it a 5 star rating but have no idea where it is.

I'm not a fan of having to use the soup either.  Wish I had an idea.  I found the cumin and chili powder to be too strong in these burgers.  I would cut it in half at least.  It overpowered all the other flavors.  These were pretty good.  I would rate them a 3 or 4 out of 5.  Several of the other burgers are better on this site, however.

If I do not have the soup yet, what can I use in it's place?

I'm wondering the same thing. What ingredients can be substituted for the soup?

We really enjoyed this recipe. I added a little no salt pasta sauce to the mixture, put it in a parchment lined loaf pan and spread some pasta sauce on top. Delicious!

This is one of the easiest veggie burger recipes I've made. Delicious and they reheat well!
