1 1/2 cups cooked garbanzo beans or 1 (15 ounce) can no salt added or low sodium, drained
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons unhulled sesame seeds
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons no-salt-added or low sodium vegetable broth or water


Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor. Add additional broth or water if needed to adjust consistency.

Can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Love this! I used half the garlic. I did need to add water; I'd suggest saving back some of the liquid from draining the garbanzos (if you used canned) and use that instead of water.

Really enjoy this hummus.  We have mixed it up a bit adding roasted red pepper periodically for a diffent flavor.
