Quick and easy with just five ingredients, this simple sorbet delivers a sweet serving of antioxidant-rich cherries.

Ingredients:

3 cups frozen sweet black cherries
1 cup unsweetened vanilla soy, hemp or almond milk
1 frozen ripe banana (see note)
1/2 cup walnuts
3 medjool dates, pitted

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients in high-powered blender.

Note; Freeze peeled ripe bananas in a plastic bag at least 8 hours in advance.

I used chocolate soy milk instead of vanilla and added a T. unsweetened cocoa powder. It was a big hit!!!!!!!!!

I doubled the batch and served this for six people--4 non ETL people. Portions were generous, and everyone loved it. I made it exactly as directed. I will definitely make again. Very satisfying and refreshing!

Awesome! My daughter loves it. She normally says she doesn't like nuts, so this is a great way to get her to eat nuts.

Made this with 2.5 cups cherries and added extra vanilla plus Two bananas. Very creamy and was a huge hit. Non ETL loved it.

Just made this for the first time. It is very good! I used almonds because that is what I had..2 bananas as they were stuck together :-) and accidentally, 4 medjool dates. Liked by the whole family. Thanks!

Excellent flavor. This sorbet froze well for later use. One does need to take out of the freezer about 30 minutes before serving.
A small serving was very satisfying.

Another great recipe. It was very satisfying and, indeed, a small serving was all we needed. I think we may get 6-8 servings out of this recipe.

This is delicious! Since summer heat has hit, I've been trying the freezes and sorbets. So far, this one is my favorite. I added a little vanilla and cinnamon. Also made a single (large) serving by using 1 cup cherries, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup milk, 1 date and a handful of walnuts. It was perfect!

Made exactly as shown. Very good, but the banana flavor was a little overpowering for me - definitely the more prominent flavor over the cherries. I am wondering what a good substitute would be. Also considering adding some almond extract next time.

This recipe is awesome.  Froze it in one cup mason jars. 

Will definitely make this again, and again, and again...
