Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Linda lost 72 pounds; is off all medications and has more energy then ever despite having multiple sclerosis
After seeing Dr. Fuhrman on PBS I read Eat To Live and wanted to try it. I didn't think I could stay on a vegetarian meal plan, but being frustrated with other diets not helping my diabetes or keeping my weight off, I decided to take the six week challenge. After six weeks I no longer craved sugar or meat and was feeling much better. I lost twenty six pounds and my blood sugars were improving. I continued eating the Nutritarian diet and lost a total of 72 pounds.
I am very excited about feeling so much better and having more energy than ever even with my multiple sclerosis. But the best news of all is I am off my meds for cholesterol and high blood pressure as well as my Metformin for diabetes. My blood sugars have continued to stay lower than they were on Metformin. Needless to say, my physician is thrilled and continues to ask me questions about what I am doing.
