An overview of some important nutritional research of 2008. Discussed are studies involving vitamin D; the benefits of nuts and seeds in weight loss, heart health, and in lowering A1c in diabetes; angioplasty and the use of cardiovascular stents; and the effects of eating soy and grapefruit on rates of breast cancer. Also discussed are the potential risks of adding eggs to your diet; medicating your children with Tylenol; and the widespread use of antibiotics.
