Why a Nutritarian Diet?
It provides your body with the nutrients necessary
for optimal health and ideal weight.

The key to this revolutionary diet style
is the idea of nutrient density
as expressed by the simple formula:

Health = Nutrients/Calories

When the ratio of nutrients to calories is high, fat melts away, and health is restored. Potentially losing 15 pounds in two to three weeks is just the beginning.

The more nutrient-dense food you consume, the more you will be satisfied with fewer calories, and the less you will crave fat and high-calorie foods. If you are an adult type 2 diabetic, you will likely be medication or insulin-free in no time. If you are on heart medications, your doctor may be able to stop your prescriptions. Your skin may become more radiant and you’ll feel more energetic than you have in years. People call their recoveries, “a medical miracle.”

My meal plan offers delicious recipes using the healthiest foods that deliver the biggest nutrient bang for each caloric buck. For instance, we have a chocolate cake that’s as good as it gets and it’s good for you! Moreover, after you try one of my Nutritarian eating plans, as outlined in The End of Dieting OR in Eat for Health, you will lose your appetite for the unhealthy, processed foods that account for Americans having the second-highest incidence of cancer and heart disease in the world.

The nutritional quality of my Nutritarian eating style is effective even for those who have previously been unable to lose weight. My nutritional guidance is designed to be nutritionally superior and nutritionally complete, so it is more than merely a weight-loss plan.

The Nutritarian diet may help you to:

  • Maximize health and longevity
  • Reach your ideal weight
  • Reverse disease such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
  • Prevent dementia and cancer
  • Avoid unnecessary and potentially harmful medical interventions
  • Raise healthy children, safeguarding their future health against autoimmune disease and cancer

My Nutritarian diet was designed for those who are not satisfied with mediocrity and want to maximize their opportunity for a positive health outcome. Most people are addicted to the toxic standard American diet and are committing slow suicide with food. Changing the way you eat can be a challenge however with time, these changes will come easily, and you will eventually prefer this style of eating.

Many people might not wish to make such dramatic changes in their lifestyle. The problem is this: Making moderate changes does not lead to dramatic health achievements and reversal of diseases.

Moderate changes simply don't work. With only moderate changes, the typical negative health outcomes must be expected, and food addictions and cravings usually continue making self-control more difficult.  Most adults are put on medication and see their health deteriorate as they pass the age of 50. The typical advice begets the typical results where half of all Americans die of heart attacks and strokes, and more than 25 percent die of cancer.

Authorities advise moderate changes, for they fear more substantial improvement in dietary habits will be rejected by the masses. They are right. The masses are addicted to dangerous eating practices, and it is not easy to stop old habits in today's toxic food environment.

Understanding the addictive nature of unhealthful food, how to recover from these addictions, and removing troubling symptoms and cravings that induce overeating is an important distinction in the methods explained in the Member Support Center and in my books, The End of Dieting and Eat for Health. This is not about measuring portions and trying to eat less food. It is about choosing the highest-quality foods that can remove your food addictions and help you lose your desire to overeat. A comprehensive array of micronutrients and phytochemicals are needed to suppress fat storage and resolve food addictions.

I strongly disagree with those who think that you must be satisfied with maintaining an abnormal weight because trying to lose too much weight feels impossible or that gastric-bypass is the only sure answer. It does not matter if you have failed every diet you have ever tried in the past. My methods have enabled thousands of individuals to lose large amounts of weight. I continually tell my patients, "Do not simply control your diabetes. Let's get rid of it!" If you are ready to receive an education in human nutrition and be coached to achieve world-class health, you are in the right place.

A Nutritarian diet is for those who are not satisfied with merely reducing their risk a little. Drugs, surgery and medical care are insufficient to protect you against a medical tragedy. You eat a Nutritarian diet to avoid the need for medicines, to avoid the need for medical intervention, to avoid invasive surgery, and to avoid the medical tragedies that are so prevalent in our society. You decide to Eat for Health because you realize life is valuable and worth living fully, with your full mental faculties and physical abilities maintained into an advanced age. Eating a Nutritarian diet is the real anti-aging way of eating.

I am not on a diet; I Eat for Health.

"Why? Because I want to keep my cholesterol low, stay free from heart disease, protect myself from cancer, and maintain my vitality into my later years. And the best part is, it tastes great too! Good health is your greatest wealth. That’s why you should Eat for Health."

—Joel Fuhrman, M.D.

The Nutritarian diet is simply the healthiest way to eat, and as a result, it is also the most effective way to normalize your weight. No other diet can radically drop your cholesterol as much as proven in medical studies.1 No other diet can effectively drop your triglycerides, get rid of your diabetes, and be as effective to normalize your blood pressure.2

Eating a Nutritarian diet allows you to say "No!" to heart attacks: they simply do not have to occur. When you eat this healthfully, you can expect your indigestion, reflux, allergies, asthma, arthritis and many other chronic problems to be resolved, too. Your food addictions will disappear, and you will actually develop a stronger ability to taste the natural flavors in simple foods.

The End of Dieting and Eat for Health are not merely weight-loss books. These books are also targeted at those desiring to effectively prevent or reverse other chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, joint problems and high blood pressure. They are also for those who just want to be in great health, maintain their youthful vigor, and physical and mental abilities into their later years. Eating a Nutritarian diet is the real anti-aging way of eating.

The End of Dieting and Eat for Health are a must-read for every health conscious person in America. These books will open your eyes to a totally new way of thinking about food that is sensible, simple and scientifically sound. You will never again be confused about what constitutes good nutrition, and if you are overweight, you will be thinner than you ever thought possible. There are many dangerous diet plans. Some are more dangerous than others. If you are considering a risky method to lose weight, such as a high-protein diet, so that you can continue your love affair with meats and cheese, a Nutritarian diet may not be the diet for you. The Nutritarian diet is a vegetable-based diet, but you don't eat only vegetables, in fact a small amount of animal products are an option on a Nutritarian diet. However, eating a lot of high-nutrient plant foods is the key to controlling your food cravings and your weight, and the only source of essential antioxidants and phytochemicals are high-nutrient vegetables. If you insist that, no matter what, you cannot eat vegetables; this is not the diet for you.

Not everyone is willing to eat a diet this healthy, but my Nutritarian diet is not just for those with steely determination and super-human powers of self-denial. It is for people who enjoy eating a lot of great-tasting food that just happens to be very healthy.

You can put an end to dieting once and for all and Eat for Health. You will enjoy eating lots of great-tasting food that guarantee a low cholesterol level, freedom from heart disease, protection from cancer, and will maintain your vitality into your later years. Good health is your greatest wealth. Your taste buds get stronger, more sensitive with eating this way. The majority of individuals who have given the Nutritarian diet a try for a few months say they enjoy eating this way more than their prior eating style. A truly healthful diet can be great tasting, too. Taste and health are not mutually exclusive. I encourage you to learn more throughout this website, the Member Support Center and my books, The End of Dieting and Eat for Health—then you will know that a Nutritarian lifestyle is right for you.
