Additional required materials, such as scientific articles and videos are included within the classroom at no additional cost.

What is the reading list for each course?
The required texts for each course can be found on the program/course details page. The lesson plans within the course clearly outline the reading assignments for each module. It is advisable to order your textbooks at least a week in advance of enrollment so that you are ready to start immediately. The required reading books are also available as ebooks.

How can I view or print the articles for the required reading?
The print function is restricted within the course modules to protect content, however, there is a reference link provided for each article in the module heading, which can be copied and pasted into your browser to access a printable view if preferred.Alternatively, digital versions of additional reading materials can be downloaded from the Additinoal References section of the classroom.

To view required reading articles within a module use the zoom function on your device to enlarge the view as necessary. For example, in windows hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel up or down OR use Ctrl and '+' or '-' to make it larger or smaller, respectively.

How much time do I have to finish an individual course?
Each course has its own suggested timeframe, which starts once you enroll (or, if applicable, when the classroom opens). Timeframes are listed on the individual program/course details page. You must complete all coursework and, when appolicable, pass all quizzes and complete the final exam(s) within the course/program timeframe. Reminder email notices will be sent to you to help you stay on track. No quizzes or exams will be administered after the program timeframe has ended.

How much time do I have to complete a certificate program?
When you enroll in a certificate program, you will have a set amount of time from your date of enrollment in which to successfully complete all courses, quizzes and final exams. The timeframe for the program is listed on the program details page. You can find your individual enrollment end date in My Account. Courses must be completed in a specified order, before the program enrollment end date passes. The program must be completed within the specified time frame, however, since it is self-paced the time will be dependent on the individual’s time commitment. The time frame is set to allow for ample time to complete the program but most likely students will complete the coursework much sooner.

How should I structure my time when taking a Program/course?
Since all the coursework is self-paced, you can study and take quizzes at the times most convenient for you: days, nights, weekends, etc. We suggest that you pace yourself so that you can complete 1.5–2 lessons per week, or about 5-7 hours, including quizzes and allow yourself a week to review before taking the final exam for each course.

Note: if you fail a final exam, you can only purchase a retake if your Program/Course time frame has not ended. Your individual enrollment end date can be found in the Nutritarian Education Institute section of My Account.

What happens if I fail a final exam?
If you fail a final exam, you will need to purchase a retake in order to successfully complete the course. If you are registered for an individual course, the retake option will only be available if your course completion timeframe has not ended. If you are registered in a certificate program, the retake option will only be available if your program completion deadline has not ended.
