Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Stan lost 18 pounds in one month and wishes he knew about the Nutritarian lifestyle years ago
I have had a weight problem all my life which I blamed on genes from my mother's side of the family. I tried several popular diets, but always put the weight back on. I weighed 285 pounds in December 2012. I was having trouble going up and down stairs because of pain in my knees. My right knee has been aspirated and injected with cortisone twice. If I played golf or went for a day of fishing I had to take the next day off to recuperate. I knew if I didn't lose the weight I would be one of those people confined to those little electric carts. I needed to do something.
I saw Dr. Fuhrman on the Dr. Oz show and ordered Eat To Live. In January 2013, after reading the first three chapters of Eat To Live, I stopped consuming alcohol on a daily basis and started trying to follow Dr. Fuhrman's program. I finished Eat To Live and ordered the new member's package. I read Eat for Health and the Nutritarian handbook. I lost 18 pounds in one month and am adapting my eating style to Dr. Fuhrman's level three of super nutrition. I do most of the cooking and enjoy trying new Nutritarian recipes and discovering a lot of new vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and grains that I never realized were so nutritious. I have always liked beans and all legumes so that is no problem. I do not miss those high calorie, low nutrient foods that used to make up my diet (well, not much anyway).
I wish I had heard about Dr. Fuhrman twenty years ago.
