Ferrochel® is an amino acid chelated iron supplement with a high absorption rate. Iron is an essential mineral whose primary role is to transport oxygen in the blood, and under certain conditions, supplemental iron is required to maintain a normal, healthy iron level.
Ferrochel® Iron Chelate may be part of your doctor’s treatment plan to support and maintain a healthy iron level because of poor dietary intake of iron, aging, heavy menstruation, pregnancy, achlorhydria, blood loss, or other conditions.
Ferrochel® Iron Chelate is well tolerated by the gastrointestinal system. It is safe for use by pregnant and lactating women, teenagers, and adults. Unlike most iron preparations, Ferrochel® Iron Chelate does not result in constipation or gastric upset. As taking too much iron can be problematic and potentially dangerous, Ferrochel® Iron Chelate should be used with care and only under the direction of your doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
As a dietary supplement, take one capsule per day with a meal, or as directed by your health care practitioner.
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
