Get your morning off to a great start with this satisfying trio of whole grains.

3/4 cup farro
1/2 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup quinoa
2 cups water
1/4 cup raisins soaked in 1/4 cup water for 20 minutes
1 regular or 1/2 medjool date, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped unsulfured dried apples
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


In a large saucepan, lightly toast farro, steel cut oats and quinoa. Add water, raisins with their soaking water, and date. Cook for 25 minutes or until desired tenderness. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 5 minutes. Add additional water if needed to prevent sticking.

Enjoy warm or cold.
