Lisa Robyn Walfield Fuhrman is COO and CFO of DrFuhrman.com. She and her husband, Joel Fuhrman, M.D. have been married for thirty- four years and have four children. Lisa has a B.A. in chemistry and attended Rutgers Medical School for almost three years. After leaving medical school Lisa started both a family and a successful tutoring business where she tutored college Calculus, Biology, Chemistry Physics and high school Sat prep.
Juggling both motherhood and work, Lisa was highly involved with her husband in building DrFuhrman.com which started out in the basement of their home. Lisa continues to make sure she is an involved mom along with her important role in the growth of DrFuhrman.com. She says, “I am blessed to work with my husband to promote the important message of the effects of superior nutrition worldwide.”
Randi Carbone, R.N. Ms. Carbone leads the Food Addiction Recovery Program and the Nutrition Coaching Program under Dr. Fuhrman’s direction. She is highly experienced in helping patients who are struggling with food addiction and other eating disorders. In conjunction with Dr. Fuhrman, Ms. Carbone developed successful programs that enhance patients’ results by teaching them life skills that enable them to maintain nutritional excellence, overcome food addictions and potential roadblocks to their success. Previously, Ms. Carbone worked within a multi-disciplinary team to manage both inpatient and outpatient addiction services for adults and adolescents battling addictions.
Deana Ferreri, Ph.D., after finishing a B.S. in biomedical engineering, researched endothelial cell biology leading to a doctorate in biomedical science in 2008. While studying the cardiovascular system, Deana became interested in nutrition and lifestyle approaches to heart disease prevention. After graduating, she aimed to use her background in science to educate people about the powerful effects of food on health. Deana has been writing science-based content for DrFuhrman.com and assisting Dr. Fuhrman with literature research since 2009.
Linda Popescu, MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian with graduate degrees in Nutrition from New York University and in Food Science from Rutgers University. She works with Dr. Fuhrman on developing great-tasting Nutritarian recipes and healthful menus that put his nutrient dense, plant-rich eating style into action. Linda also develops the Dr. Fuhrman food products that make this healthful lifestyle easier and more convenient. She has been with DrFuhrman.com since 2006.
Johanna “Jo-Jo” Stefano, M.S. is a Nutrition Coach and Personal Trainer. She holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and has completed Dr. Fuhrman’s advanced coursework in Nutritarian studies. Jo-Jo is highly trained in Dr. Fuhrman’s Nutritarian approach making her well equipped to help you adopt this program into your current lifestyle. Jo-Jo's goal is to empower her clients to transform their relationship with food, their body, and their health. She guides and assists clients in attaining sustainable weight loss, reducing food cravings, increasing energy and managing stress. As a wife and working mother of two young children, Jo-Jo understands the challenges of developing and maintaining a healthful and balanced lifestyle and is committed to help you overcome the obstacles in your path.
Kathleen Renner, L.C.S.W. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with significant clinical experience working in the mental health and substance abuse fields. After undergoing further training with Dr. Fuhrman and his clinical team, Ms. Renner has developed a specialty in food addiction counseling. She also has completed Dr. Fuhrman's Nutritional Education Trainer Program (NET). She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, motivating individuals to improve their health. Kathleen has worked with addiction in all age groups and in various settings, including individuals and groups. She holds the title of Food Addictions Counselor in the Food Addictions Recovery Program.
