Sabinaa has Graves Disease; following Eat To Live her eyes and thyroid returned to normal
In 2005 I was diagnosed with Grave's disease. Against the advice of three doctors, I did not have my thyroid removed or destroyed. After taking only one third of the prescribed thyroid meds for about three month, my hyper active thyroid stabilized and I stopped the medications. I began to think my immune system was the underlying problem causing my thyroid to go wild.
My lifestyle change included a healthy diet without meat and coffee, and I cut out stress as much as possible. I am 5ft.3in. and, at some point, I almost weighed 160 pounds. It wasn't until I read Eat To Live and followed the diet that I finally began to lose weight and felt really good again. Today I weigh 130 pounds and my thyroid has been normal for the past six years. Even my eyes have settled back to normal. I learned health begins with the food you eat. Thank you Dr. Fuhrman for improving my life.
