Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Jerry's Story

Jerry was eager to get off the statin drugs which made him feel terrible; following Eat To Live his  wish came true

I have a family history of cardiovascular disease with one brother dying suddenly when he was 50 years old. Five years ago II needed two cardiac stents due to chest pain (no heart attack and normal heart function). While in cardiac rehabilitation I lost 37 pounds and became vegetarian.

I could only tolerate my statin drugs two to three days a week; it was struggle to continually fight with my cardiologist and internal medicine doctor about taking the statins as prescribed. I felt terrible on them.

In July 2014 I read Eat To Live and it was so easy to adopt. I lost an additional 18 pounds and came off my statins. My cholesterol is 120 to130 and LDL 100 without statins. It is so easy to follow the regiment Dr. Fuhrman recommends in his book. Being a RN made it easy for me.  I am responsible for my health and only see my doctor on yearly checkups. Success is what we make of it.  Doctors need to step up and listen to their patients.

Results may vary.
