Stay Healthy after the Holidays

Scale

Over the past several weeks, you’ve successfully navigated family feasts, holiday work parties and most-likely many social events laden with rich hors d’oeuvres and sugary desserts. You’ve kept your eye on the prize of good health, learned more about the differences between health-promoting and health-depleting foods and learned how, and why, to enjoy the pleasure and tastes of high-nutrient foods.

If you have chosen to embrace a Nutritarian diet-style to lose weight, extend your lifespan and prevent and/or reverse disease, congratulations! However, now is not the time to kick back in your easy chair, rest on your laurels and slack off. In fact, now is the time to push through to another level of determination and commitment. Not only do you want to wake up feeling vibrant and well in the new year, more importantly, you want to continue to improve your health now and for the rest of your life!

We all know that the reality of life is that obstacles may get in the way — those irritating and unplanned roadblocks that can prevent progress and attempt to derail us from achieving our goals. If one is not careful, they can cause major setbacks.

If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

–Michael Jordan

Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven’t half the strength you think they have.

–Norman Vincent Peale

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

–Henry Ford

It will take strength. It will take effort. But the pleasure and rewards that you will get from a healthy life will be priceless.

–Joel Fuhrman, M.D.

You need to continue to fortify your mind with the information that will empower you to overcome the many temptations that will bombard you in the days, months, and years to come. As you’ve begun to learn about the Nutritarian diet-style, you have begun to build the “muscle” necessary to successfully navigate, not only future holidays, but also any of the obstacles you may encounter in the years ahead.

Muscles are developed by pushing through resistance; every time you overcome the temptation of low micronutrient foods and increase the micronutrient richness of your diet you build muscle - Nutritarian muscle. Your body is becoming healthier and your “Nutritarian muscle” is getting stronger to help you resist temptations down the road.

Just as some people require the support of a health club membership to build their body’s muscles, many often need similar support to successfully build their Nutritarian muscle. The information and services offered through this website and Dr. Fuhrman’s Member Support Center are designed to provide that same support. If you are ready to slim down, reverse your diabetes, substantially lower your cholesterol without drugs or drop your blood pressure, but aren’t ready to tackle it on your own you may want to consider Membership.

If you are already a Member, be sure you are taking advantage of the Member Center on a regular basis to help build up your Nutritarian muscle.

As a member of the Dr. Fuhrman Member Center online family, you will gain supportive services and a world-wide community of online members and friends. You will have the knowledge and tools to insure your quest for success. It could save your life.
