My total cholesterol was 300 - now it is down to 246, even though this is still high, I'm down 54 points! I'm off my blood pressure and cholesterol medications too. I don't exercise, and I know I would lose more weight and help lower my cholesterol even further if I did more physical activity. I not only lost weight, I lost inches and my clothes fit so much better! I feel fantastic. How I started this diet....I have a friend who has been eating healthy for years come to my home and we cleaned out every bad food in the house. I had (maybe) two things left in my house to eat!!! This is not a diet, it is a life-style change and I'm loving it! If I had decided to do this as a diet and do it "gradually", I would have not been successful...the cleaning out process is the best way to go. Not only that, I absolutely have no cravings what-so-ever....which is amazing to me! I think this is the best, solid advice in nutrition that I have ever read or experienced and I have read them all! It's made such a difference in my life. I haven't been under 200 lbs in over 15 years! Now I'm 189 (I was over 200 lbs).
