Michael lost 18 pounds and experiened other great health results after just a month and a half
strictly following the Nutritarian lifestyle
About a month and a half ago, I was overweight at 220 pounds. I did a comprehensive metabolic panel. My glucose level was slightly elevated at 110 and my alt and ast liver enzymes were elevated at 80. My high liver enzymes worried me since I usually only drink in moderation once a week. I work out about two to three times a week, but I didn't follow a healthy diet. I never consumed soft drinks, but still ate a diet high in processed foods such as breads and pasta.
I was browsing the internet and found out about Dr Fuhrman's plan. I also read Eat To Live and The End of Diabetes. I have faithfully followed his eating plan. I no longer eat processed foods. I eat two large salads a day rich in kale, spinach and cabbage. I have replaced all sugary foods such as doughnuts with fruits such blueberries and pineapple. Additionally, since I am a huge fan of pasta, I eat black bean spaghetti, which is a better alternative than wheat based pasta. I also eat almonds, sunflower seeds and walnuts as snacks instead of potato chips. After being on the diet for a month and a half, my weight is down to 202 pounds, a loss of 18 pounds. I then had another comprehensive metabolic panel and my liver enzymes were in normal in the 30s and my blood glucose level was normal at 98. My cholesterol was also normal at 150. I still have more weight to lose and am trying to reach 185. I should be able to reach my weight loss goal in a few months. I used to have mild migraines which are gone and I also have less anxiety. Dr Joel Fuhrman is a miracle doctor! His weight loss plan has changed my life.
