Dr. Fuhrman’s Favorite Raw Nut Butters are freshly ground and then immediately refrigerated to retain their freshness. They taste better and healthier than roasted or high-temperature ground nut butters. The rich flavor is popular with children and can be used in soups, salad dressings and dips. The Fuhrman children love it on an apple. Mrs. Fuhrman loves it spread on a banana and wrapped in lettuce. Fresh, raw nut butter is not only good as a spread, but it makes a smooth and creamy sauce for vegetables and salads. Just mix it with a little juice or soy milk for a creamy dressing.
Both our almond and cashew butters are healthier alternatives to peanut butter, which has been recently reported to contain acrylamides, a dangerous carcinogen. This is an important reason why roasted nuts and roasted nut butters should be avoided.
