Eating a diet rich in cruciferous vegetables is your best defense for fighting and preventing cancer.

You know about the antioxidant effects our bodies derive from the phytochemicals in plant foods. But do you know that the unique phytochemicals found in cruciferous vegetables offer the most powerful health promoting benefits of all.

The research findings are really overwhelming. These foods, such as arugula, bok choy, and radishes, play a major and unique role in offering protection against cancer. I recommend at least 2 cruciferous servings per day, one raw and one cooked.

Dear Dr. Fuhrman,

I joined Medi–Share, a share–your–health– needs program. This is different from standard insurance coverage in that the medical expenses of each member are shared by the total membership. Before being approved as a Medi–Share member, I had to complete a routine physical exam. I was told I had to lose weight and start an exercise program before I could be considered for the program. To support my weight loss efforts, they advised me to read Eat to Live and watch the Greatest Diet on Earth DVD.

I realized this advice was very timely for me. I did need to lose weight. After seven weeks, I had lost 37 pounds. I am certainly glad that I read your book and followed your eating program! I feel great and according to my wife look 20 years younger. I have followed the six–week plan very closely, in conjunction with walking 30 minutes a day and lifting weights 4 days a week.

Thank you for all the great information. You have enabled me to take control of my health. I have definitely decided that I will never go back to my old way of eating. Your book was the incentive I needed. I have inspired about 20 people to purchase Eat to Live and start their own transformation.

The only complaint I have is that I will need to purchase a new wardrobe. I have gone from a size 38" to a size 34!" Oh well, it is worth it. I am gratefully thinner!
